Regional Day brings together elected officials and local government managers from across the Central Pines Region to gain regional perspective and strengthen collaboration.
Local decisions are shaped by regional trends—growth, infrastructure, economic development, and emerging issues don’t stop at jurisdictional lines. Regional Day provides the context, insights, and connections leaders need to make informed decisions in their own communities while understanding the bigger picture.
This page includes the presentations and resources shared during the event so you can revisit key insights and continue the conversation.
Central Pines Regional Council hosted Regional Day 2026 on February 20, bringing together elected officials and local government managers from across the region for a half-day of insight and connection.
Speakers addressed key issues shaping our communities, including data center development, the history and impact of Research Triangle Park, and the future of RTP 3.0. Together, the conversations reinforced the importance of regional perspective, collaboration, and informed decision-making.
