Under general supervision, performs specialized plan review for residential, commercial, and other occupancy types. Supports administration of the minimum housing code and conducts field inspections of new, existing, and remodeled construction. Reviews building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and structural plans for compliance with State and Town codes.
Performs advanced transportation planning, project management, and technical analysis. Reviews development applications and traffic studies, manages transportation programs and projects, supports boards and commissions, prepares reports and presentations, administers residential traffic management and traffic counts, coordinates bicycle planning, and performs related duties w/limited supervision.
The Assistant Director of Operations is one of two positions at this executive level serving as a key member of the Solid Waste Services leadership team, which is responsible for strategic oversight, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of collection, disposal, recycling, yard waste, and fleet-related operations.
