Durham, NC — Central Pines Regional Council (CPRC) Executive Director Lee Worsley has appointed Jenny Halsey as Deputy
Executive Director, effective July 1, 2025. In this role, Halsey will provide business continuity for the organization and lead oversight of CPRC’s Mobility & Transportation and Aging focus areas. She will also serve as liaison for the Triangle West Transportation Planning Organization (TPO).
“I am pleased to appoint Jenny to the role of Deputy Executive Director, where she will continue delivering outstanding leadership within Central Pines Regional Council,” said Executive Director Lee Worsley. “During her nine years with our organization, Jenny has grown into her current role as Assistant Executive Director, proving herself as mission-driven and a true public service professional, most notably providing exceptional leadership to our internal operations. She is widely respected and well-positioned to ensure continued outstanding service to our fifty local government members.”
As Deputy Director, Halsey will help turn CPRC’s strategic priorities into reality by ensuring robust internal operations, leading cross-departmental collaboration on regional initiatives and areas of need, and fostering strong relationships with local, state, and federal partners. Her work will support the Regional Council’s mission to provide collaborative solutions that help local governments meet the needs of their communities.
“I am deeply honored to accept the role of Deputy Executive Director and to continue working alongside such a dedicated and talented team. The region’s opportunities ahead of us lie in our ability to work together—across jurisdictions and boundaries. Central Pines Regional Council has always been a place where collaboration drives positive changes, and I am excited to contribute to that mission in new and impactful ways.”
