Central Pines Regional Council, in partnership with Mid Carolina Council of Governments, The Nature Conservancy, and American Rivers, is hosting an engaging workshop to:

• Assist local governments to identify and address systemic flooding problems using remote sensing and watershed modeling tools
• Review ‘Natural Infrastructure Solutions’ to reduce flooding
• Learn steps to implement flood-risk reduction projects and engage with state efforts
• Support local governments in becoming more prepared for funding to support flood mitigation projects

This workshop will give local government staff, elected officials, and community members the information needed to become more equipped to address flood related issues.

There is no cost to participate and lunch will be provided.
